The Comfrey Project
The Comfrey Project was founded in 2001 at Moorside Allotments in Newcastle as a place where refugees and people seeking asylum could come to learn new skills, share what they know with others, and start to build a better life. The Project’s approach is based on Social and Therapeutic Horticulture – the use of horticulture-based activities including gardening, bee-keeping, cooking, crafts and construction, to improve people’s lives.
Mila made a grant to The Comfrey Project in 2019 for core funding.
