APPLYING FOR GRANTS
PRINCIPLES
In awarding grants, the Trustees will apply the following principles:
Applications from any geographical area within Britain and the EU are eligible for consideration.
All applications from previous recipients of grants or from previously unsuccessful applicants will be considered by the Trustees on their own merits.
The Charity will willingly work in partnership with other organisations to fund initiatives beyond the financial scope of a single organisation.
Some grants made by the Charity will be made on the condition that the Charity's grant is matched by funding from another organisation.
Grants may only be used for the project and use set out in the application unless prior written approval has been given by the Trustees for an alternative use.
EXCLUSIONS
The Trustees will not normally approve the use of the Charity's funds for: purposes for which the government has a statutory responsibility to provide; expeditions; and individuals and organisations raising funds to give to another individual or organisation.
SIZE OF GRANTS
The grant size can vary according to the project and the level of need.
GRANT APPLICATION PROCESS
