“The Promise” is a new outdoor opera for families, part opera, part environmental event. The project is being developed alongside participatory workshops in Cumbria, Tower Hamlets London and Surrey, working with Key Stage 2 children from local schools and with two local community centres. Through collaboration with Workington Nature Partnership and Mersey Forests, the project will also deliver creative work in and around local woodland. The opera will be performed around the UK.
Mila is supporting Phase 2 of “The Promise”, to include building, casting and writing.
